Darul Ihsan University (DIU), the oldest amongst the Private Universities of Bangladesh established by the Darul Ihsan Trust. The Trust was founded by us with the idea of setting up an institution which is post-modernist in outlook and faith based in philosophy. Accordingly DIU was set up to pursue this philosophy and inculcate the moral values in the minds of our students to serve the interest of the country better than those of other institutions. I am very happy that DIU has been successful in producing quality, creative learners in different field of learning and scholarship. We have earned this reputation by ensuring a unique congenial academic atmosphere to meet up the changing and growing needs in all the sectors. The Faculty Members of DIU deserve appreciation for their constant perseverance and attempt to enrich the learners with skillful knowledge by formal lectures, class-lesson, group discussions, case studies and company based projects to face the challenges of the hour. DIU emphasis’s the importance of merit in everything it does. It is progressively increasing its entrance standards and demands high quality student performance. If you want to become part of DIU, you will need to understand and accept this emphasis on academic standards, and the consequences of not performing at your best. Message from The Honorable Vice-Chancellor

Darul Ihsan University (DIU) was established in 1993 by the Darul Ihsan Trust (DIT) with a mission of developing this university as an ideal institution of higher learning and research in the private sector of Bangladesh. DIT Trust and its Syndicate are being run by academic scholars and leaders of international repute, consisting of scholars from home and abroad. The vision of DIU is to combine quality education with morality so that the graduates of this university grow up with skill-based modern knowledge and strong morality for humanness. In the higher education sector of Bangladesh, DIU has already established itself as a forerunner of addressing the challenges of globalization by providing appropriate knowledge imbued with morality in order to bring peace, progress and tranquility in human societies across the globe.

Over the past years of its establishment, development and expansion, it has cut an image of one of the best ranking private universities in Bangladesh. And this is because of the fact that DIU has qualified faculties in all the departments having sufficient library, lab and internet facilities. Currently DIU has more than one lac books in its central library along with two hundred e-journals and each faculty has its seminar library with required books and journals. A good number of DIU graduates have obtained higher degrees from foreign universities which is the testimony of its best quality education. Many graduates of this university are being employed within the country and outside and are holding important positions both in private and public sectors. A few graduates of DIU are also recruited in the teaching and non-teaching positions of public universities. One of the unique features of DIU is that it is providing separate education to male and female students. Moreover, DIU has developed its more then 5 acres Permanent Campus at Ganakbari, Ashulia, Savar, Dhaka-1349.

I expect that the students of DIU will try their best to take the fullest advantage of this university, by freely interacting with teachers and officials of DIU which has already become their chosen institution of higher learning and research.

Darul Ihsan University (DIU) has contributed greatly towards enhancing higher education in Bangladesh through its years of dedicated service and hard work. It is a home of academic excellence dedicated to scholarly, physical, as well as divine growth. DIU has grown into a professional educational institution.

Darul Ihsan University as a multi faculty university has provided education through its mission “Quality Education at Affordable Tuition.” With a number of years having passed, the university has grown, developed, and attained the significant level of academic achievement nationally. It has established at Ganakbari, Ashulia, Savar, Dhaka-1349.

The University is committed to provide equal right of education regardless of economic and social status and does not discriminate in any policy, program and activity on the basis of diversity of any form.

With this present scenario of Darul Ihsan University, I hope that with our vision and the student’s heartfelt efforts, the university will mould the career of students and bring out the highest possible level of their potential to provide them with suitable placement in their future path.
